It was lovely to see so many of you on Sunday, either virtually or in real life. I am pleased that the technology worked as it did and the feedback I've received is that most people felt included whether they are near or far. We will be ironing out one or two glitches, such as the moment I dropped the camera...
As widely trailed, the next Rule of Life evening is this Wednesday at 6pm. The Zoom link is here. We are constructing a trellis up which our spiritualities can grow... So this week we will be focusing on worship. Nicola, Georgie and I will be leading the session. Anyone is welcome to join, whether you are currently keeping a rule or would simply like to think about how worship and life intersect... or are exploring in any way. There is also a Face to Faith meeting on Wednesday for our younger members - Lisa will be in touch separately about Face to Faith.
ALSO a reminder that there is still an urgent need for goods for the hotel in which homeless people are being housed at present - clothing, toiletries, games, books... and for the foodbank, which is delivering hundreds of food parcels every week. The church is open from 2pm to 5pm every Wednesday afternoon to receive donations. Or you can bring them on Sundays.
This Sunday I am very pleased that we will have as our preacher our Bishop Richard Cheetham, the Bishop of Kingston. I booked him a long time ago when this Sunday was going to be our last service before the renovation, but he is still happy to come. He will be joining us online as he is shielding a family member. I know that you will make him virtually welcome.
Hope to see you on Wednesday,
